Hello, another week and a bit more spendy this week just because of low mood.
£20.54- food shopping
I have got lots of free food from work, not healthy but it is free so I'll utilise it
£20.25 on alcohol
Meh, I'd be spending more than that if I was out in a pub!
£5 Gifts
Someone had some sad news so chipped in
£10 - computer game
It's tough times!
£18.13 - penny challenge
I've also put some money in savings which I have had left over so adding the two accounts up, my total emergency savings is up to £2340! So not too far off the £2500 target.
On my prepaid card I have £39 left so I'll put that in my emergency savings too. On Monday morning I'll get another £104 in my account but that will only have to last 4 days. With all the added extra money I'm adding to my emergency savings maybe I'll have reached my £2500 target by June! Then I really really need a month or two off from thinking about it. Kinda fed up of it you know.
Also good save....I own a website for my work on the side and it was going to cost ~ £215 to reniew but called up and because of the pandemic they only charged me £152.80. They said it was a one off but I'm just going to call up each year and try my luck!
Anywho bye bye x

Hello,
So been lazy with updating.
So last month:
£161 - groceries
I always go over this blooming budget! I budget £140 and thats with being generous
£9.19 - food on the go
Has been much worse
£2.55 - food for work
Should be £0 as means I've planned poorly
£17.10 - food at work
Due to corona we were sitting in the office more so eating out of boredom and bying snacks for the office
£26.25 - alcohol/soft drinks
This is usually a LOT MORE. I've realised a bottle of wine is what I get charged for A GLASS in a pub. I know you pay for the atmosphere but it is sickening to think of the cost
£11 - home stuff
Cleaning stuff etc but this is split three ways so I get it back eventually and usually put it in a savings account
£9 - beauty
Having a weekly budget is really making a difference as I really notice a lot more what I am spending my money on. I bought a £6.99 mascara and noticed that becasue of my buying my bike I only had £8 in there so I decided not to buy any other beauty products. Even though I SO WANTED TOOO. Took a big effort not to buy.
£35 - gifts
This always going to be a tricky one for me as I love buying gifts.
£19- othet bits and bobs
Just random bits.
Last month I saved 45% of my wages...now thats not going to happen every month. In reality its ~25% or 20%.
I've gone back to counselling which will be £200 a month - annoying but needed. Could have been a lot more expensive. Next month I should get back my travel costs for the travelcard refund so then I will be able to increase my LISA amount to £333.
I've realised I need ~£40,000 for a house deposit. I'm currently at £10,000. 1/4th of the way. It just feels so long away. Might make a lasagne and put in the freezer.
