Mortgage PPI reclaim - shall i cancel my premium?

Hi
I've noticed I've had a premium coming out of my account to Royal London Mutual Insurance Society for years.
I'm sure it's for Mortgage payment protection form years ago originally Abbey National.
I'm going through the reclaim process as stated in MSE. When should I stop the direct debit? I'm worried that until my letter is dealt with I need to keep paying the premium in case it invalidates my claim?
Any help would be apprecaiated!

Not until you've found out what it's for.
If it is PPI, cancelling it won't impact any complaint you put in - but would of course negate any claim you make on the policy.0 -
You don't think having mortgage protection is a good thing?0

I wouldnt stop anything without knowing what it is.Any help would be apprecaiated!
Before you put in any complaint, its probably a good idea to find out about the product you are complaining about. Putting in a PPI complaint when it may be life assurance is pointless.
What exactly is your complaint? If it is an MPPI policy then what is the problem with that?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
