Homemade Wine - tastes Like Sherry - help!!!!!

I would either blend it, make wine vinegar as advised or drink it over lots of crushed ice...only possible way to drink sherry IMO

Thanks for all your help.

I think it is overly sweet due to the 3kg of sugar my husband added!

We also made it using very homemade equipment! - a huge water container and rubber glove.

Any ideas on a punch I could make to reduce the sweetness taste?

3kg of sugar for 12 botles! No wonder it's sweet! And what did you use the glove for? Please tell!

I'm helping my father make wine tomorrow. He is going to collect 30 cases of grapes which will make about 150 litres of wine, depending onjthe water content. That should keep him going for a year!

He has a hand cranked grape crusher and 56 litre carboys. Italians don't mess about!

The rubber glove was an air lock! We are living in the middle east at the moment and have to use what we can!

I'll have it!!!!! I love fortified wines/muscats/sherry/port- my favourite red wine is sweet red wine from Greece called Mavrodaphne- where do you live!!!???

try making Sangria with it, add cheap red wine, fruit juice, brandy and chopped fruit- mmmmmmmmmmmm!
