Today ive recieved a email from my company saying that they have appointed Aspire to retire to provide a pre and at retirement service for active members aged 50 and over of the DC scheme and that basically we will recieve an email direct from them and we should give our details etc.
What im concerned about firstly is why have they done this as prior Punter Southall provide the annual statements etc. Id of thought members should have been informed of any impending action took by the trustees not when they had done it. Plus will Aspire to retire load their management fees etc onto our pension pot value so to speak.
Anyone had dealings good or bad with Aspire to retire ?
Im 54 so i will be one of the ones affected so to speak

Ive discovered it seems Aspire to retire is part of the Punter Southall group0

LOL. Are you naturally suspicious ? My first thought as that it was simply just a extra service provided to help employees rather than get paranoid about extra fees (despite the fact that would need changing the whole pension scheme to add extra costs)0

It has nothing to do with the members. It is between the employer and the trustees who they appoint as administrators.Plus will Aspire to retire load their management fees etc onto our pension pot value so to speak.
Auto-enrolment schemes have rules applying to them which they will need to follow.Anyone had dealings good or bad with Aspire to retire ?
You have. Its the same company under a new trading name.

I didn't think DC schemes had company trustees. Well, you learn something new......0

Aspire to retire sounds far more fun than expire to retire.0
-
Or Perspire to Retire...
...Aspire to Perspire might be a good name for a line of sportswear though.0 -
Or retire to expire ...................just the time between the two needs to be taken into consideration0
