Le creuset comes with a lifetime warranty if you are the original owner if you send it back (at your own cost) and they will send you a new one.
I had an oven dish that cracked in the oven. I phoned their customer care and they sent a new one out a couple of days later. Definitely give them a call.0 -

I think very few actually take them up on the offer so they are quids in been a few that have reported no issue with getting them replaced.0 -

how do you prove you are the original owner ?
I have 2 big casserole pots with lids, that both get used at least once a week. In one of them the enamel is starting to chip away ( forgot the end of a casserole sitting in the aga ... oops! ) and do you have to send it back, or can you take it to a store ? ( local outlet centre has a le creuset store ) sorry for 20 questions, never thought of it before!0 -
Try just telling them when& where you purchased it is worth a try, they will know from the style of pot the age of it would be worth asking at the store but probably want you to send it back if someone is going to the effort and cost there going to be legit as you can find them and the equivalents in charity shops and boot fairs pretty easily and cheaply, I kept the paper warranty (gift tag size) that came with mine.0

I just said mine was a gift. They asked for the serial number and then posted a new one out to me. Was incredibly straightforward.0 -
Apparently the cast iron guaranty for life was introduced in 2000 so any equipment acquired before that date will be not be covered, and the cover is only for manufacturing faults and not wear and tear through regular use.0
