Future mortgage - Overdraft

Evening guys,

My partner and I are currently saving towards a 5% deposit for a circa £300,000 property which we are on schedule to accrue by December of this year.

On January 15th our rent expired at our previous home, and we have returned to our parents in order to better save.

My problem arises in that we shared a joint account to pay for all expenses for the household while we were renting. This evening, I logged into this joint account to note we were £1.50 into our overdraft, an unexpected final payment came out of our account exceeding the "safety net" fund we left in there. I immediately addressed this and moved £100 into the account. The payment which put us into our overdraft came out this morning, and I did not correct it until this evening.

Our credit score, obtained in December of last here, were 916 and 936 respectively, we have no credit card debt, no missed payments or have ever previously gone into our overdraft.

My query to you, is whether going £1.50 into an unarranged overdraft is going to impact our mortgage application? And if so, would this sole infraction be sufficient to prevent us from obtaining our mortgage in 12 months time?

Any advice or input would appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Michael
