Term time wage

I've been offered a job very unexpectedly that I went for an interview for 2 months ago, they had another position come up and asked if I would like it. I'm going in on Tuesday to discuss everything.
From what I remember from the original ad, it said £8.25 ph (grade B?) Doing 17.5 hours a week.
Would I do 8.25 x 17.5 x 39 weeks?
Then split across 12 months?
If so I'm cream cracked, can't afford to live off that. I'm devastated.

I work 3 days term- time which is 21hrs. Not sure about hourly rate but think I would be the same as you mention or higher as been working in a school for over 8 years. I get roughly £650 so its under the amount you get now. Also when I first started I got PSID at the lower end of the wages which was very low and did not even pay for my child nursery feed. Luckily I have a hubbie who is on a good wage and now kids both at school it handy for all school breaks except in service days which hubbie covers.;):p0

You will also accrue some holiday pay, but only working 17.5 hours presumably in a school is never going to earn you much.0

I work 39 weeks but get paid 42.67 to cover holidays which would increase it slightly. Also depending on your employer but a lot of councils supplement to bring it up to living wage,0
