To celebrate our exhibition South Africa: the art of a nation we are offering the chance to win a spectacular walking and wildlife holiday for two to South Africa, courtesy of adventure travel experts Exodus Travels.
Your 17-day South African adventure will include walking some of the country’s most beautiful and iconic landscapes and discovering its amazing wildlife. You will hike in Drakensberg, the ‘Dragon Mountain,’ discover the wonders of Royal Natal National Park and visit the amazing rock formation known as ‘the Amphitheatre’. Along with the fantastic walking opportunities, you will discover the country’s wildlife in South Africa’s famous Kruger National Park. You will also visit Swaziland and have a chance to visit and learn about the battlefield at the centre stage of the Anglo-Zulu War.
Your holiday will include flights from London, bed and breakfast hotel accommodation, transportation and the services of a tour leader.
Full prize itinerary
Day 1: Depart London for Johannesburg.
Day 2: Arrive in Johannesburg. Transfer to the town of Graskop. En route travel through South Africa's highest town, Belfast, and the scenic Long Tom Pass; stop to visit the Mac Mac Falls.
Day 3: Hike the Prospector's Trail to Pilgrim's Rest.
Day 4: Explore the Panorama Route. Trek to the Letaba Ranch Reserve; evening game drive.
Day 5: Morning game walk; free afternoon.
Day 6: Transfer to Kruger National Park, one of the most famous wildlife parks in the world; afternoon game drive.
Day 7: Morning game drive in Kruger; drive to Swaziland to the Malolotja Nature Reserve
Day 8: Full day walk in Malolotja.
Day 9: Leave Swaziland and head back into South Africa; visit Ezulwini Valley Craft Market before heading south through rural Swaziland; drive to town of St Lucia.
Day 10: Morning boat cruise and game walk; afternoon visit Cape Vidal.
Day 11: Visit a battlefield of the Anglo-Zulu war; hike the fugitive trail, the route taken by the British survivors from the battle of Isandlwana.
Day 12: Visit Royal Natal National Park; afternoon walk in the local area.

Day 14: Full day hike to Witsieshoek.
Day 15: Hike to Thugela Falls, the world's second tallest waterfall.

Competition Rules
- The prize is for two people to travel on the Exodus South Africa: Walking and Wildlife holiday with flights included from London to Johannesburg
- The prize includes:
- All breakfasts, 14 lunches, 11 dinners
- All accommodation
- All transport and listed activities
- Tour leader throughout
- Flights from London
- Any travel insurance, visas and vaccinations, as well as optional activities are not included in the prize.
- UK-based airport transfers are not included.
- Only one entry per person.
- No purchase necessary.
- Entry is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, and excludes any Exodus Travels Ltd and British Museum, employees or their families or anyone connected with the administration of the prize draw. The prize winners must hold passports which allow entry to the destination country and return to the UK and are responsible for obtaining any necessary visas.
- The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
- The winner is responsible for ensuring that they are able to accept the prize as set out and in accordance with these terms and conditions. Exodus Travels Ltd and the Promoter reserve the right to exclude entrants and withhold the prize for any violation of any of these terms and conditions.
- The winner must depart on or before 18 December 2017 and booking must be made at least two months in advance.
- Dates of departure are subject to availability of tour space and flights.
- No cash or other alternative is available and the prize cannot be transferred to another person or trip. The Promoter nonetheless reserves the right to substitute the prize (or any part of it) for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.
- The prize will be awarded only to the winner and their nominated sole companion who must travel with the winner on the same trip sharing the same accommodation.
- The draw for the winner will be administered by the Promoter and the winning entry will be drawn at random from all valid entries received before the closing date. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be notified by email. If the winner does not respond to the email within 14 days another winner will be drawn.
- The winner agrees that their name and/or likeness may be used by Exodus Travels Ltd and/or the Promoter in publicity materials created in any format or media for marketing purposes.
- Lost or late entries for the competition shall not be the responsibility of Exodus Travels Ltd or the Promoter.
- It is a condition of entry for the prize draw that all entrants agree to be bound by these competition rules, which shall be subject to the laws of England and Wales and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
