  • Ooh, I did one more YouGov survey today. I'm 50 points closer to my cash out!
Also finally managed to link my BA Avois account with TopCashBack so I can finally redeem some points (John Lewis only pay cashback in Avois points which is annoying). That will come in handy in 2030 when we're finally able to fly again.
Slowly working my way down the list of small niggling things I've not been bothered to sort out before now!

Hi I followed the Do Yoga With Me 30 day challenge and it was great as it mixes up the teachers and the exercises each day. Have fun

Hi Angela, thanks for commenting! Do Yoga With Me sounds very interesting, I will check it out this evening. I would really like to start something tomorrow as it's the first of the month :)
  • June Debt & Savings Totals

Debt : £10,725   (I'm starting to get excited about breaking the 10k barrier at the end of next month!)

    HSBC - £3,250
0% rates in order that they will be paid off (HSBC applies payments to the oldest balances first) From next month I will be paying off the debt that expires in August 2020 - can't wait to get my teeth into that!
    • £503.15 exp Sep 2020
    • £1,425.17 exp Aug 2020
    • £1,321.68  exp Aug 2020
    TESCO - £1,375.00
    0% until April 2021
(sticking at the minimum payment of £25 per month until HSBC is done)

    MBNA - £6,100.00
    0% until April 2021

    'Debt-buster' Savings: £1071.68
(I had a really good month for cashback and survey rewards, I don't think the coming month is going to be anywhere near as successful although I'm keeping my fingers crossed for finally hitting the £50 threshold with YouGov! )
  • Non-Financial June Goals
    1. Edit CV (In the current climate, I would feel a lot more comfortable knowing that my CV is up-to-date and tailored towards certain roles)
    2. Do an Excel course (free courses only!)
    3. Daily Yoga
    4. 10K+ Steps per day
  • I'm so close to cashing out on YouGov! I just completed another survey and now I'm only 55 points away .... I wish they would hurry up and send another one!

Impressed with your results from surveys.  I would be interested in tips - I started doing them, and seem to get turned down for most.  I've found them very frustrating and not at all money-generating!
  • I’ve been doing YouGov surveys for about 3 years and this will be my first cash out, so I that one I think the key is persistence.
I really like Prolific Academic for higher paying rewards, but I don’t like how quickly the surveys disappear from there. I have to keep the tab open on my computer all the time I’m online and pounce when I see a good one. But it is luck a lot of the time, I can go for weeks without anything and then suddenly get a really well paid one.

Ipsos I-say is probably the best for me in terms of balance between reward, effort and frequency but they don’t do cash payouts (I usually get amazon vouchers but I think they might do Mastercard as well?)
It is a bit of a grind to be honest, but I do them on breaks from work or when I’m watching TV or listening to a podcast to keep myself entertained.

I haven't done done the 30 day challenge with Adrienne, but I've done quite a few of her yoga videos from home and I really like her. I get on well with her yoga practice. Definitely a nice goal to be setting for yourself!

I also like the idea of setting some tasks/ goals for the coming few months while you're at home. It can be daunting combining the uncertainty with so many life restrictions.

As you know I'm a prolific lover but like you said, I have to keep the tab open. I told my boss when I started that I was doing it and had the tab open (it's an open plan office) and only chose the 5 minute surveys if I was at work.   I haven't looked at Ipsos I-say.   I'd be happy with Amazon vouchers.    Well done with YouGov. I did start years ago but gave up.
