  • Ooh. Checked my bank account to confirm a transaction had cleared and saw that I have a pending incoming payment for the full £197 from the dentist. No other communication from them but I'd rather have the cash than an email, so that is good news :)

No more ebay sales (or returns!), I might have some more things to list tomorrow but I think I'm getting close to the end of the pile. I've also got a pile of things that need repairs or alterations, I'll try to get the ones beyond my capabilities to the dry cleaners before the weekend so I they don't spend another 6 months shoved at the back of my wardrobe!
  • Good news that you are finally getting money back from the dentists.
It would make me feel down in the mouth if I was in that situation .
    Sorry :D
Keep going Georgina . Sounds like you're still going in the right direction .

Loolooly thank you for stopping by and your kind words, I'm glad that my diary has been helpful :)

Hope everyone is having a fab Easter weekend! We have been doing a lot of spring cleaning (sooo exciting ;) ) and I'm enjoying having a lovely tidy flat while it lasts :) I'm getting to the end of the clothes sort out, I've got one more vacuum bag of summer clothes to go and then will tackle the cook books etc and random kitchen gadgets.

Hoping to get out for a walk in the sunshine later though, it looks glorious today :)

Not me I'm afraid, I've never tried matched betting
  • I’m getting to the end of the spring clean now. I’ve gone through all the storage bags and made piles of things to sell, donate and recycle.
The donation and recycle piles have left the building and I’m about three quarters of the way through listing the items to be sold. I invested in a couple of Ikea bags (the square zip ones) to store the For Sale stuff neatly while the sales come in, after the initial flurry of interest the sales have slowed down. I’m not desperate to get rid of the stuff straight away so I’m happy to keep hold of them for a few weeks / months to get decent prices.

Not much else to report at the moment, just waiting for the direct debits to clear my bank account so I can update the debt totals for another month. The first Student Loan direct debit came out yesterday, the countdown to zero has begun!

Well done on the spring clean! As I have a small flat too I know how too much 'stuff' can make you feel claustrophobic.

We discussed on here some weeks ago that a good fan would be essential as our small flats can get so hot and stuffy during a heatwave. Well I did some research on tower fans and the Dimplex Mont Blanc tower cooling fan garnered some good reviews. So I ordered one from Argos - £59.99 plus £3.95 delivery charge. It arrived this morning. I thought I'd better buy it now before we have the next heatwave and they all sell out!

  • You must be reading my mind, Georgina - I need one hell of a declutter as well.

I've even got the Marie Kondo book out of the library. It must be bad! :rotfl:
