A lot of people go to carboots looking for bargains and/or specific things.
What sells well and for how much varies depending on area. Unless you know a specific item sells well that you can make it's probably not worth the time and effort of making something. For example, if you made a scarf you may be lucky to get 50p for it, especially if you do a carboot in warmer weather or are in an area where lots of clothing is sold cheap at carboots.
If you don't have much you may find Gumtree or Facebook selling pages are a better option. Cash on collection, no fees or other costs.0 -
It actually annoys me a bit when I go around a car boot sale and see stands of people selling stuff that's more suitable to a market, or craft fair, or the like. To me, car boots are for second hand stuff that people are clearing out cheap, not stuff made or sourced for the purpose. That might just be me, though. :-)
But craft fairs might be a suitable outlet, or there are quite a few craft outlets around, where people rent a small section of a shed to sell their stuff, so it's cheaper than having your own shop, or market stalls or whatever. Or car boot sales if you really insist, I guess.
Sounds as if you have the same problem I have, which is thinking of what people would want to buy. Making it is no problem, knowing what to make is the issue.0 -
I agree with droopsnoot, car boots are for selling unwanted clutter reasonably cheaply, not items more suitable for craft fair/market.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
