Applied for a mortgage with Barclays on Monday afternoon they came back asking for a few extra documents Tuesday morning I supplied them straight away then by lunch time they said my mortgage was agreed subject to valuation  :j I'm so happy/ stunned that this has happened so quickly! Has anyone else had a similar experience? After wasting 3 weeks with nationwide with a DIP referral its hard to sink in!

Congratulations it's really exciting isn't it?? We had almost the same time line last week, and have been waiting since Wednesday after being told it had been approved subject to valuation. The survey was done yesterday so I'm now just waiting for the results and the written offer. We have offered 5k over asking price so just praying Coventry agree it's worth it! I'm so worried that they will say its not!0

congratulations, that is fast
I know how you feel about wasting time with other lenders, Ive wasted 4 weeks with natwest for nothing, praying the principality are as speedy as barclays and the valuation gets done soon, my seller is getting itchy feet lol0 -
Thanks guys! Congrats to you both too! It is really exciting but I'm nervous at the same time as nationwide knocked our confidence quite a bit, and now a lender has treated us how they should do - we keep thinking aw is this too good to be true lol! I'm buying a new build so there shouldn't be any issues with the valuation but Barratts is shut until tomorrow so they wont be able to book a valuation until then which makes the wait slightly longer ekkkk0
