Determining pension scheme type?

Hi,
Is there a reasonably sure way to determine the type of pension scheme one has?
I opened a HL SIPP today and initiated a transfer from an old Defined Contribution class type of pension. The transfer online form from HL was asking about the type of pension scheme, but I couldn't be sure which one it was so I specified "Other Occupational Plan" (I'll let them figure it out!
).
I had a look at the literature from the source pension and found nothing at all to specify the scheme type. There were references to Trust and DC type of pension.
I logged onto the platform's online site and again nothing there that specified anything that matched any of HLs scheme types.
A couple of years ago back when the employer was using Scottish Widows, it was a "Contracted In Money Purchase Scheme Plan" (which does appear in the list on the HL transfer page). But since they moved to a different provider, there has been no info about the scheme type, and there's no guarantee that they went for the same type of scheme at the new provider.
I know it's not a SIPP, I know it's not a stakeholder.
I know it's a DC. But there seem to be many different sub-types of DC pensions.
So, is there some website that will let you enter the provider/platform and scheme name, and get you the scheme type?
