Shared Care - responsibilities beyond maintenance

  • Sorry to hijack post but I struggle with the same thing.. guidance online can be a little vague

I have shared care(?) for my kids, I have my 17yr old daughter 50/50 and my teenage sons 2-3 nights per week (Alternate weekends, plus a weekday night). It is great, I wouldn't want any less but there are always money debates over additional things.

Both my ex and I work, but I pay around £150 over the calculated amount, plus phone contracts and out of school activities. They have clothes I have bought for when they stay with me but when it comes to school uniforms/trips it gets a little heated. I normally just buy them some here and there but things are much tougher financially for me now.

The moment I try to say am over-paying she threatens to reduce amount of time with me! I am desperately trying to keep the peace for kids sake and haven't got the money for a big legal battle

In fact lol.. maybe I need my own thread! lol
