Letting agents

Options
We are currently renting and have never had an issue or been in arrears.

Fillling out the online application for bankruptcy and one of the first questions is to give the name and address of the letting agent. Will they be informed of our bankruptcy or is it up to us to tell them?

Thank you.

I'm a letting agent and you have to inform you landlord agent as there will be a clause in the agreement stating in the event of bankruptcy they can claim the property back.

However, if you don't tell them then there's not much they can do, providing you're paying the rent.

I asked my examiner if my landlord would be informed and he said no, I checked my tenancy and there was no mention of B.R.
I had lived there for 4 years at the time.
