Fraudulent use of Asda credit card
I have recently discovered 7 fraudulent uses of my Asda credit card, mostly for click and collect from Tesco Direct. The total fraud is more than £3,100. My card has not been lost or stolen. Surely for "click and collect" the original card or some ID should be asked for? Retailers must accept some responsibility when handing over online purchases.

Phone your card issuer, and report a fraudulent transaction.0

As the above, call them, report fraudulent charges, block the card and you will get those refunded rather quickly. Whether retailers will be punished, why do you care? You will get a refund from Asda and short of waiting for new card to arrive, that will be end of story.
What must have happened is that someone got hold of your online details, possibly also your 3D password if your card had that enabled, and simply made quite a lot of purchases with it.0 -
Asda will be well !!!!ed off that they didn't use the card for click and collect at Asda. At least they could have written off some of the loss with the mark up on the goods, instead of swelling tescos coffers.:DI came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

I too have never been asked for credit card or ID when collecting at Tesco click and collect. All I have ever done is present a copy of the email that informs you of the delivery to the store or shown the text on my phone.0

My card was stopped and the fraudulent use reported to Asda money as soon as Tesco Direct phoned me to question whether the transactions were fraudulent. They were, plus 2 other transactions.
Have had to chase Asda 4 times now over this and they've still not reimbursed me though for such a large amount they should investigate thoroughly. Love the comment about Asda being miffed it wasn't used in their stores !0 -
Tesco have your phone number. Do you have an account with Tesco Direct if so did you not receive texts and emails at the time these orders were placed?
If the fraudster set up their own account and used your payment details how did Tesco have your phone number?0
