Mortgage chances with defaults

  • Try Precise mortgages; they only accept applications via a broker tho'. They are a specialist lender & their lending criteria accept recent defaults. best of luck.
  • ps - some mortgage lenders ignore mobile phone defaults or defaults under £250.

I would suggest the broker route, you would need one for Precise anyway, but Precise could be overkill. I would try and exhasut the potential high street options before considering Precise.

  • speak to a broker , you will have to pay silly fees , also over the top interest rates with someone like precise

But you could also try the high street lender who might just surprise you

Don't assume you can't get a prime mortgage

    Best of luck

    Check out simply adverse.

They gave me great advice and when my circumstances changed, didn't try and get me to continue with them. They told me straight to look at high street lenders as it would be cheaper.

That is a company I'm definitely recommending.

Thanks ACG I appreciate your advice! Can i ask would they be at ridiculous rates though? Is there any truth in that the defaults should be over 3 years old?

How do I go about finding a broker who specialises in the adverse. There are so many brokers out there it's hard to know which one to go for

I phone London and Country, as recommended on the main site here. Happy to give the guy's name I've been dealing with. I had 2 defaults from 2014. Sole applicant, and self employed. DIP went in on Tuesday and was accepted, full application went in on Wednesday, Surveyor going round on Monday. Really recommend them.
