Nothing obvious to class as negligence. Does not sound as particularly good standard either but with the level of funding they get you had all chances of them saying to you "tooth too broken for filling and too complicated for repeating root treatment before crown so your options are to live with broken tooth, to have it removed or private referral for root treatment". So if you think of changing a practice keep it in mind - in other NHS practice/dentist you would likely be without that tooth altogether by now.The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0 -

1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
yes, i agree entirely. i wish i would have been offered the opportunity to have it pulled out tbh and saved the £240 (approx) that it has cost. the saga continues... immediately after leaving with my second temporary in place, it fell out whilst eating some cheese! i've got to go back later this week for my 2nd crown to be fitted, yet the infection still appears to be present in my gum because it's still tender. at this rate, i can see me having to have a second new crown removed in a few weeks time
believe me, pulling the tooth would have been the better option! (it's near the back anyway)
