Instagram using a browser
Instagram used to be app based, they did have a website but you couldn't do much with it online through a browser.
You can now do most things, apart from upload images/videos and see what your friends have liked and commented on, you also can't see messages/DM's so you would need the app for that, in case they inform you of a win.
You can now enter competitions through it where you have to 'Like' 'Tag' 'Comment' and/or 'Follow' You just can't enter those that ask you to regram, through the Instagram website.
Windows 10 users can download the Instagram App on their computer which also includes DM's
How to Regram
You can only upload from the app via a tablet or phone and not via the browser or computer.
Take a screen shot (press the home and lock button together)
Then go to upload, click the camera and select the image and Next.
OR
Download the 'Repost' app
Go to the photo on Instagram you want to repost, click the ... (top right) Select 'Copy Share URL'
Reopen the Repost app, your image should be in the New section. (select the image)
Click repost - copy to instagram and it will open it in instagram for you to post. Selecting Next.

Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

Hi Ms Dee, correct me if I am wrong? I think you cannot access DM's on desktop version, so that does make it tricky if you do win. If you have found a way to do this please let me know as I switch between ipad and desktop on insta all the time. xxxtotal wins 2013 £5500 2014 £7500 2015 £23,900 2016 £10,650 2017 £13,040 2018 £10,620 2019 £10,115 2020 £3970.00

Oh yes! That is correct, sorry I forgot about that, I was thinking as you could now see tags then you could see it. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll update my post.Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.0

you've been able to like comment tag etc for quite a while now hun but worth pointing it out to people who usually avoid instagram comps as they dont have the appYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Worth pointing out as people often forget/don't know - but if you have a Windows 10 laptop, there's actually an app store in Windows 10 in which you will find an Instagram app with full functionality (posting, commenting, tagging, DMs).
No need to flip to your phone/iPad if you have the app downloaded onto your PC.0 -

I know thanks, but thought I would remind or let those that didn't know aware.jamielmdjs wrote: »Worth pointing out as people often forget/don't know - but if you have a Windows 10 laptop, there's actually an app store in Windows 10 in which you will find an Instagram app with full functionality (posting, commenting, tagging, DMs).

I wasn't aware of this, I used to have a windows phone but the apps were awful, good to know they have improved, I'll add that to the post (as that was originally what this post was for, to let them know they didn't need a phone anymore, but then brownhandbag kindly pointed out the DM's weren't visible)Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.0 -

No worries - thought it would be a valuable addition. People with Windows 10 laptops just need to search for Store then search for the Instagram app.
Windows phone app list has improved since Windows 10 phone and most apps are now on a PC. Not the biggest app list, but the big ones are there (instagram being the real useful one for a comper).0
