E:26/05: Half Price Dell Monitors

I think they did this a while ago, you buy one and get the 2nd one half price. The 20" ones are pretty good value - especially if you were to find someone else buying one and split the difference.

Theres nothing on the Dell site that I can see, so it seems to be a bit of a hidden offer.

    It only applies to 3 models: the 19" E193FP, the 19" 1905FP and the 20" 2005FP.
Even with the ½ price offer these still seem a bit expensive

    two 19" E193FP for £438.86
    two 19" 1905FP for £526.99
    two 20" 2005FP for £826.61

Its difficult to compare the prices really, because other than Dell, no-one else sells these unless they are refurbished. The refurbs are a better buy (aria sell alot of these quite often), but I know from past messages here that some people prefer to buy brand new.

The 20" ones are a good buy though, even unbranded 20" monitors hover around this price.

Incidentally, the Dell screens are the same as the Apple Cinema screens, which sell for twice the price (both are made by LG).

Aria sell brand new Dell monitors too..

They currently have the 17" Dell TFT ( E173) at £140.94 on their super specials page. Or at £152.69 with 3 year warranty.
Personally i would go with the 3 yr warranty ( provided by Dell) as otherwise the warranty is provided by aria (1 yr return to base) , who have a terrible name for customer service.

19" Dells ( E193) are £187.94 inc vat ( but only available with 1 yr return to base warranty ). Still a big saving over buying from Dell.

[1713] Buy 1 Dell FP Monitor and get a 2nd Monitor of the exact same type for 50% off. For example, purchasing an E193 entitles you to a 50% discount only on a second E193. (Applies to Dell E193FP, E173, 1704FP, Dell 1905FP, 2005FP Midnight Grey)

Just add 1 monitor to your cart then change it to 2 and recalc to get the discount up.

Not cheap though as each works out at £170 for a basic 17" TFT
All Dell'd up ;) several times over :)

Dell 20" TFT 2001FP Midnight Grey
    £289.95 exc,
    £340.69 inc.

says none left but they will be back in im sure.

If not they are also on there for full price of £410

I think for 15 quid they will do a full dead pixel check for you.

I'm growing very tired of your little digs JL,

    Complete irelavence,

I wouldn't normally try to sell anything on these boards. My comments have nothing to do with rpoints.
