Okay, I'll continue applying for jobs in that instance.
If I get a student account at TSB - would I be eligible for an overdraft?

As i explained in my original post, it would not be wise to get into any more debt.

Why do you need an overdraught ?

Get a new basic account, with no OD facility, and no credit check.

Budget correctly, and learn to live within your means !!

Otherwise you will be perpetually in debt to someone.

Because I'd rather take that interest free 500 and pay off 500 that isn't interest free?

I'm already living with my means, just trying to cut down the amount of interest I'll end up paying.

I've paid off 3000 in debt in the past 6 month. £50 more than I get off my bursary (this is because any freelance money I make goes straight towards debt).

I think I'm likely to get £2000 from the colleges discretionary fund so that'll go straight onto my CC's

I've put my vaporiser up on gumtree and I'm hoping to get £200 for it. Also trying to sell my 27' iMac (~£1000) and get a cheap laptop for uni.
    Capital One - 950/1400
    Barclay Card - 400/1250
    Overdraft - 1500/2100
    Personal Debt - 0/2000 :T
    nPower - 900/1115 :A
    Total - 3724/7900 -- 52% paid off!
