    I agree that you will find there is a lot of competition for the job you want to do, and experience will prevail over qualifications.

    How about looking to do bank work/volunteering at local hospitals? They tend to need admin staff who can be flexible and might not be as demanding with previous experience as they will offer some training.

    I already did the NVQ 2 in Business Admin years back



    I can type, can do spreadsheets and powerpoints.
    When I did my Linkedin profile I was contacted by a recruiter 3 days later asking if I would like to come to an interview for an admin job, so I must have something they like!
    The supermarket for 7 years was not on a really on a till. Worked on a specialty department with computer work to do for it, answering queries on phone, implementing modular changes etc

    I work for a small charity, and our local voluntary services agency advertises lots of jobs each week, many of which could broadly be described as 'office' or admin. Quite a few of them use volunteers as well, which could get you some experience.
