    Wow! Brilliant news!!!

What's the plan for the cash? Are you going to put it straight to a card, or use it to try and hang on to the other mortgage for a few more months? Or something else? (not shoes!). Whatever, it's effectively free money since you weren't expecting it, so WOOOOHOOOO is definitely appropriate!

Well done you - you deserve a bit of a break!

Thanks Little Pickle, MOT and Panda - I am going to pay a straight £1000 off one of the debts and the other £115 can stay in the current account to try and reduce the overdraft a bit. Due to the new siggy rules, I have changed mine to show a total figure which Im going to adjust on the first of each month.
I have made a little challenge for myself that by DD's birthday (beginning May) I want to be sub £50K - Its gonna be tough, but if I stand any chance of achieving the 'Stop Faffing' challenge, I need to get there.

Some more good news is that we have some lodgers moving in shortly, who will be paying us £500 per month - It shouldn't be too inconvenient for us, as the bit of the house where they are staying is self contained, but it does mean that we have to take a window out in our dining room and replace with french doors as through their bit is our only access to the back of our house. After the first month though, we should be £500 up - all extra money to help me achieve my goals!

Hiya! That's great news about the tenants - is it long term or will you still be able to use the flat for summer lets as well? £500 a month is definitely not to be sniffed at! You're doing fab with your debt repayments at the moment - need to capture some of your motivation once we get moved!

    Speak soon!
