i ordered a duvet set out of last sale, wavy pattern on it and the wavy patterns coming unstitched and the buttons keep falling off! thing is if i return this set, id want to return the other and the curtains as i bought it all to match and one set isnt enough as need one on bed whilst other is in wash!
Do you think I should demand they accept it all back?
Nothing ventured - nothing gained. Years ago I bought a suit for work from M & S but it was seperates. The zip broke on the first skirt, the second one the lining basically disintergrated after about a month. Took it back with the jacket - which I had obviously worn. They didn't want to refund me for the jacket but I stood my ground - explained that the jacket was no good to me without the skirt and that I would absolutely not try a 3rd skirt - and eventually as a 'gesture of goodwill' they refunded the lot. I then wrote a letter of complaint and got a 20 pound voucher!!!!
By the way - I ordered Thursday using code GR8 - everything arrived yesterday - some good, some bad - but all came at sale prices.
Agree about the prices - girls clothes are ridiculous this year - will have to wait for the Xmas sale!!!!! - wonder if they have 'upped the prices' to take into account the amount of half price sale items they have - we all then think we are having a bargain but really we are not. Clever Next!!!!:think:0 -
I think it has been rubbish too, i only spent approx 40 when last one i spent almost £300..
Totally agree with quality of tshirts, theyve gone from a peachy feel to a very thin cheap feel.. dont like them and makes me reluctant to buy more. I bought my daughter a peppa pig one and she had it on twice and is now wearing it for bed
I have to agree actually. The T shirts have been awful this summer. The rest of the stuff is still great, skirts, dresses and trousers, etc, but the t shirts (and the little girls peppa vests) have been dreadful. I have found the peppa pig range at george to be so much better quality this time! :T:j Coupon Queen:jSaved £3880 since Feb 05 stopping nicotine!!!Spent £3880 on shoes & bags since Feb 05!!!!0 -
I thought the kids clothing had gone up a little but thought because buying next size up for little girl now getting age 2-3 so price increas, but think they have raised prices in general come back the prices ending in 99p seems more of a bargain0

As an example of inflated prices - I have 2 girls, 4 and 7, to buy them both a pair of jeans and a long sleeve top it costs me round 45 pounds!!!! Personally I think this is way too much - especially as I can pretty much guarantee getting the exact same items in the sale for around 20 ( ish ) pounds!!!0

I think that everything in Next is far poorer quality. Nearly all the t-shirts we have bought this year have gone out if shape and gone very thin too.
I was looking at the oak furniture in there the other day, £500 for a chipboard sidebaord, it was complete tat. Someone must buy them

I agree I have been shopping with next for years but the last items of furniture I have ordered have all had to go back. Cheap tack. I went to my local Oak shop and got a similar unit better quality and half the price.
I now only shop in my next clearance I think some of their stuff is only worth the discounted price. Bought a jacket in their the other day paid £4 was £65 its so not worth paying full price!
Even one of the shop assistants in Next the other day admitted some items they had were of poorer quality than they used to be. Next seem now to be stocking alot more branded items like Quicksilver, umbro etc.0
