Hi, I will be 60 in June 2017 and am planning on taking my deferred LGPS. About 90% is covered by the 85 year rule, according to my calculations I would only lose something like £200 pa by taking it at 60 rather than 65, so no point in waiting.
How soon should I notify them that I wish to take it? Also I have a small AVC (about £23,000) with the Prudential. Do I have to notify the Prudential separately or will it be automatically sorted with my pension?
TIA

Ring them to ask for your options and the claims forms 3 months before your birthday. As long as your AVCs are in-house, they will be included in the figures.0
