SouthWest Trains compensate for faulty toilet

Options
I urge everyone to complain to your rail company if you have been inconvenienced by 'toilet not in use'. The Southampton-London South West Train service is usually reliable, but toilet, car-coupling issues resulting in door failure, were not uncommon over the last year.

However, SW have awarded me £20 for the inconvenience when I complained there were no working toilets under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

  • ;Did they??? What about toilets further along the train? I've been on many Southend trains where the toilet isn't working so used another. And those trains that simply don't have toilets. Might start claiming myself. Cost of ticket £9, compo of £20. Can't be a bad money spinner for a deviously clever person(s) ;)

Not to mention that one person's compensation is somebody else's cost. The companies, the directors, the shareholders of all these organisations doling out compensation are not going to lose out - it's other customers/passengers who will face increased costs or cut-backs in other areas.

Many years ago we used to laugh at the US and its "compensation culture", seems some people here see a bandwagon and jump on it.

So have these: The companies, the directors, the shareholders of all these organisations.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
