I want a ''thin'' microwave

Very hard to find it seems!

I'm talking about a width of 42cm or less (as measured across the front). It has to fit in a fairly narrow space.

Most free standing microwaves need a certain amount of clearance on at least one side to allow hot air to disperse. It may be that the models being suggested don't need it, but it is a point worth checking.

Might be worth looking at 'built in' microwaves (if that's feasible for your planned location), which can definitely be put in a confined space.
