I wanna ..... banking / budgeting freebies?

Options
HI all I wonder if you could help please?

I am a second year student social worker about to embark on a 6 week project with 6 (year 11) teenage girls in a pupil referral unit. These girls desperately need to learn some life skills before they leap into the big wide world at the end of this school year. The sort of things I will be working on with them are:

How to write a good CV and what it is for
How to write a good covering letter
Interview Techniques
How to open a bank account
What is an EMA and how do I apply for it?
Budgeting to live for a week

as well as
Peer pressure / sexual health / teenage pregnancy / drugs / general teen issues etc etc

I would really appreciate any freebies that I could give to these girls to keep them interested and focused.

Please don't give me any negative opinions on troubled teens - everyone deserves a chance in life! Any genuine help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks
Sam

Have a look on the careers wales website (www.careerswales.com) I'm sure they had advice on how to write a cv apply for a job etc and they have 'age specific' bits. Does your pru not have a PSE programme? or could you get in touch with the local education dept as they should have lots of this sort of info related to the citizenship/pse curriculum. Lots of depts in councils usually have freebies like pens, pads, rulers etc for when they do promotional events so send an e-mail round. And try job centre plus directly as again they may be able to help
    Good luck

we have a group called connexions round here that give this sort of advise
http://www.connexions-direct.com/ covers all of the above and a lot more.
I am concerned that as a second year student you have not been given guidance by your tutors or are we assisting you with a task ;)

I 'm sure that if you contact them they will provide you with literature etc... hell, they even have a booklet they send out for parents to help them understand.
