Parking Spaces to rent question

I need advice re listing a parking space available to rent - mine. I've read Martin's information on this topic. Can I do so on this site - I've spent a lot of time finding this area?
I have a space outside my house (owned by me) but missed the opportunity to apply for a crossover, mainly through ignorance, when the road was being re-laid. Also, I don't have a car.
The space is regularly used everyday and at times even over the weekend. So it dawned on me that it may be on a list. It is a prime spot (SW16) being within 5 minutes walk from Streatham Common rail station Streatham is a London suburb.
What I find really galling is that I can never count on using the space when I need it for private reasons, like visitors and deliveries.
Can I find out whether there is such a list, being used for income by somebody. In which case I should be renting the space out myself!

Thank you for your response. I'll check out the link you provided.

Sorry, I should have clarified: it is a space directly in front of my house on a side road, within a few yards of the main road which leads to the rail station.
As far as I know it is not "allocated parking space" but for public use ie commuters, using the station.0 -
unless its on a parking site like the one I mentioned then its random commutersEx forum ambassador

Thanks again for your prompt response. I looked at the link but it needs registering to get the info I need. I'll get round to doing so.
If it is for commuters, would it be possible to rent it out, if only to thwart its usage by these "random" commuters who often park huge delivery vans, overnight and at weekends/holidays. This is virtually free parking - a valuable benefit in a prime spot with access to central London. Some time ago when I complained to the council and asked how I could get a free space when needed, I was quoted £25 per day!
I'm not interested in getting any income. Would I need to get the local council's permission?0 -
Pretty sure you don't "own" space on a council road to have anything to sell?0

If it's not part of your property then you can't rent it out as you can't stop anyone else using it. No one has the right to the parking space outside their property. You can only rent out what is your to rent.
To clarify, I have a private drive, it forms part of my property and to access it I need to pull off the road and onto my own property (as outlined on my deeds). I could if I wished rent that space out, but the parking space outside my house on the road I couldn't rent out as that is for public use.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The OP posted in their initial post that they own the space.
Actually re-reading it they may mean they own the house and not the space, OP can you clarify?Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080
