'scam' email

Options
Had an email flagged up as potential scam. It was of a sexual nature inviting me to clink on a link to find more details of her!!

I didn't, deleted, went into deleted, and deleted again - now gone.

So beware, you may be tempted to 'click' to find out more ......
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

With due respect for your "status" on this forum ( i.e. you're not a newbie just post-building ), I'm not sure why you're posting this ? Surely it's self-evident that it's a dodgy mail ? The fact that your email provider already flagged it as spam, the fact that it contained "questionable" content, the fact that "not clicking on links from unknown senders" is the most basic of internet safety rules - all of these would surely warn off even the most naive of people ?

Sorry, I'm not meaning to be funny here, just curious as to why you felt the need to post this ?

    I thought this as well.

We get these all the time and have done for some time and never been 'tempted' to click to find out more!!
  • I agree with the two posters above. Perhaps it was a sexy cat pic and they clicked it in error.
Scam emails are mostly easy to spot.

I keep getting the same sort of thing, emails with suggestive subject headers and promises of untold ladies.

I have been scammed Sunday, Monday and twice today.
  • I get so many of these in my spam it's tedious deleting them. Along with countless "Here's your (any High St shop you can think of) discount voucher". Many of them are very explicit in subject title, I wonder sometimes if children get the same vile stuff in their email accounts,

And of course we should all believe that message, especially as they have taken the trouble to replace all the letter "l's" with capital "I's"
