SVP (https://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk) have "TuffDisc" 50 CD-Rs (700mb) for £3.65 inc VAT, excluding delivery.
Delivery is £2.99 unless you go over 13 of these, so if you were to buy 10 (500 discs) it would cost £40 or 8p per disc delivered.
That says nothing about the quality of the discs however, but thats an entirely different hunt...0 -
do you have a link for those on amazon?
thanks

with regards to the OP question, im my opinion this is NOT a good course of action to be following. You can get uber cheap media, such as bulkpaq et al, but I personally find the finishes on these and the overall quality of disc to be very short term.
I would not use one of the cheapest discs for anything except short term storage. Out of about 500 discs we recently went through from 12-18 months ago, over 100 of the finished had bubbled and flaked leaving the disc unreadable, after being correctly stored in suitable packaging out of sunlight.
I also find that the mechanisms from slot loading drives tend to flake the finish of these cheaper disc, including the printable ones.
My personal choice is datasafe (the additional protective layer one, not sure if they still sell this), memorex, and verbatim if you want any kind of long term archive life for your data. Memorex is probably the best value, but you maybe looking at a few pence more per discs, its worth bearing in mind though, choosing the disc that suits the lifespan of your needs.0 -
