Sainsbury's 2 Minute Meal Microwave Rice 250g - Save 50% was 75p now 37p. Several flavours available - Thai, plain Basmati, Pilau, Vegetable Biryani.
I know it's not as cheap as cooking your own rice, but it's clean, quick, convenient and very difficult to get wrong. Tasty too.
Bearing in mind Uncle Ben's / Tilda can be £1+ per pack, I say Grabbit :j

Scoosh uncooked rice under a tap in a sieve, and tip it into a bowl. Cover it with an inch of boiling water with some salt and stir once. Cover with a plate, stick it in the microwave oven for twelve minutes on full power, tip it into the sieve and scoosh with boiling water from the kettle. Eat. Point and laugh at the rice snob.0 -
Nice rice at a very good price.0

Bought loads last week to go with curries and microwave meals that DS can eat after work (weird hours!). He says they are fine but avoid the micro noodles, they smell strange but taste of soggy cardboard!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

still alive, so it's not a good way to unsuspiciously bump someone off, was rather sick, but how much of that was the rice and how much was knowing about the rice, we will never know.Is he still alive ?????????? If not I may buy some.
