Nationwide personal loan accepted?
I applied for a personal loan from nationwide, with whom I have a current account online. I subsequently received an email that read the following:
"We're pleased to let you know we've received your application and we just need some extra information from you.
What do we need from you?
We’ll send your Personal Loan Agreement by post for you to sign and return to us.
Please note, we won’t be able to authorise the transfer of funds to your chosen account until we’ve received your signed agreement."
Is anyone able to tell me that this is an acceptance? While it says that when I return my signed copy it will authorize the transfer of funds, it doesn't explicitly say that it has been accepted.
If anyone can offer any insight into this it would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

It's a referral.
If they're happy with the further information, it will be an acceptance. If not, it won't.0 -
Thanks for replying,
When you say it's a referral who is it a referral to?0 -
A referral for further checks, rather than an automatic acceptance or rejection.0

To me that is an acceptance, you must not have filled in the online signature, hence why they need the paper copy.
I had the same when I was accepted, my application timed out and got same email but when i went back online on my phone i was able to digitally sign and then got the money 48 hours later, still had the paperwork through but signed that as well as you can then change address etc online or phone without having to sign later on.

Thanks John,
Yeah there was never an option to fill in an online signature but I know a family member who applied for the same loan and had to do sign and return a paper document for the money to be released.
Your response is appreciated!0 -

This I had the same sounds like you have been accepted, I signed it and had the money in my bank in 2 days!0 -
Jack, as with everyone else I very much appreciate you taking the time to reply!
After looking up nationwides fan's it does appear that it's an acceptance as there are only 4 possible reasons to an application for a personal loan so my mind is somewhat at rest!
