Actually quite gutted about this. Would have liked to have used my Hori Gamecube-like controller on it, if possible.. Currently it's plugged into my NES Mini :-)

I can't see this hitting PS2, 360, PS4 or Wii numbers at all

Although I hope Nintendo do well with this one, I don't get people's obsession over numbers of consoles sold and why it affects their perception of whether they'll buy one or not. The Wii U has very few shipped units and relatively few games, but despite my massive pile of games for it there are still plenty I want and have yet to buy.

Let's say the switch tanks tomorrow like Wii U - you're still guaranteed several years of quality first and second party games which won't be on any other system.

Read a few message boards this morning and you'd be forgiven for thinking that most posters on Switch topics are more interested in arguing over tech specs and sales figures than they are actually playing games. It's like the schoolyard Speccy vs C64, NES vs Master System, SNES vs Megadrive arguments of yore on steroids 24 hours a day.

Very good point especially in relation to Nintendo, but the numbers guarantee investment in development, even in first party titles. I'm always a little bit worried about buying a dud, even though I'd probably get my money's worth with just a Zelda game and a Mario game. Weird psychology really!

After buying several what the populace would consider "dud's" I'm less worried, all of them have provided me with with an absurd amount of entertainment.

I'm really excited about the switch - I feel like Cartman waiting for the Wii eleven years ago. I've watched the Zelda and Mario Odyssey trailers a silly amount of times since Friday, the Zelda one almost brought a tear to my eye.

Currently playing through Wind Waker HD to try and satisfy some of my craving, and I realised that I can't remember anything about the game at all since I played it on the cube 15 years ago(!). Had to google to get a hint on how to kill the boss of Dragon Roost Island, felt like cheating! :o

I've only just got a Nintendo 3DS :rotfl:

I argued for years that the 3DS was a terrible console and that I didn't understand the hype for it. Then my mum was playing Animal Crossing on hers last year and it made me realise that I missed that game, so I went out and bought the console and the game and I haven't put it down since.

I wouldn't mind playing Mario Kart on it but it's still really expensive.

I do fancy the switch actually. I always enjoyed playing my Nintendo Wii when I had one but it annoyed me that it was only playable at home, whereas I love how with the Switch, it's both a portable console and one you can play on your TV.

i don't intend to get one straight away, but if I start hearing really good reviews about it, and some good games come out for it, then I'll probably get on one day

I was thinking about getting one but I think I'll hold off until more games I'm interested in are announced, i enjoy the Zelda series but it's not worth getting for one game to me. Skyrim would interest me but I already have it on PC and other consoles. Animal Crossing got an update on 3DS recently so I'm not sure if they'll be bringing a newer game out for a while.

I'm happy with my 3DS's Nintendo wise for now.

Well I picked one up from Game today without a preorder. Zelda is spectacular. Not tried anything else but I'm thinking of getting the Snipperclips game. Anyone else got one?
