National insurance credits

Can anyone clarify a little something for me please.
I've been online to check my pension statement and it shows I currently have 30 consecutive years full contributions. Looking at each year individually, i see either contributions purely from paid employment or contributions from paid employment AND national insurance credits 52 weeks. However, one year (2014/5) shows national insurance credits 11 weeks. Why would this year show 11 weeks only? I work for the whole of 2014/5 & paid NI and tax.
If someone could tell me why I'd be grateful.

You can get credits for all sorts of reasons, eg claiming child benefit for a child under 12, caring for someone, being unemployed, getting WTC, in previous years doing A-levels etc. If you work as well you usually don't need the credits.0

You need to check with the DWP why only 11 weeks show from your fulltime work0

Thanking you, Zagfles, for mentioning children up to the age of 12 as it's just occurred to me why the 2014-5 year shows the NI credits as 11 weeks. I believe it refers to the period that leads up to my DD's b'day...when she turned 12. That makes perfect sense.
Cheers, BIt's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?0
