Contactless payments on Oyster daily cap. How it works?

I know that if you spend a certain amount a day on contactless credit card. Does any one knows how it works if there are 2 cards on the account.
Would the bank/Oyster system undrstand there were two different cards or it would cap spending on a total amount?
I mean if say me and the secondary card holder were to travel in London a lot in one day would we get charged two or one time?

The Oyster systems do not know that the two cards both relate to the one underlying account.
This means that each card will be treated separately with respect to any caps and each will have to exceed the cap to benefit.0 -

Do you know that out of personal experience or just think this is how it works?0 -

Reading Glentoran99 post it occurs to me that maybe I have misunderstood your question.
Are you taking about the limit of the number of transactions that a contactless card can make before a pin is required or are you talking about TfL's daily fare capping?
In the first case, no contactless card will ever reach this limit when touching an Oyster reader.
My earlier answer applies to the second situation.0 -

That is how it works. I have two Oyster cards and two debit cards registered in my Oyster account, plus two kids' Oyster cards. Each card is separate for the purpose of fare capping, so I can give an Oyster card each to visiting family members, pay for another on my first debit card and use my second debit card myself without cheating the system out of fares due.0 -

It's important that you use the same contactless card, mobile or other device for all your journeys. Using different cards or devices means that you won't be able to benefit from capping.
On rail services, if you touch in on a card reader with one contactless card and touch out with a different card or device, you could be charged two maximum fares for two incomplete journeys. Similarly, on Emirates Air Line and River Bus services, if you touch in with one card and out with another, you will be charged two fares.
Cards linked to the same account can be distinguished from each other, even if they have the same number.0 -
