Unfortunately this is all part of drip feeding the message that (current) pensioners have it cushy, compared with how hard it is for younger (hard working) people to get even a small pension. Articles along this theme will be drip fed until it becomes the accepted truth and then the government will find it easier to downsize underfunded ("unaffordable") DB pensions as well as reduce higher rate tax relief / drop triple lock etc / push out state pension age. Already seeing things about how 'we' have benefited from rising house prices and so impossible for younger people to get on ladder etc. Stand by for plenty more of this messaging!
