I am in final salary scheme.
Read an article about partial draw down today - question is what the difference between partial drawdown and being able to take 25% max from pension as a tax free lump sum?
Many thanks

"Partial drawdown" is not relevant to a FS scheme.
You will need to read your scheme booklet for details of your options at retirement - it may be that there is an automatic lump sum with options for additional commutation or if not the possibility of commuting up to 25% of the value of your benefits as here

The balance would then be paid as a monthly pension.
