Help Biro Ink in the Dryer Drum!!

My sister a student nurse has borrowed my washer and dryer and must have left a biro in her uniform - There is now biro ink smeared in the drum of my dryer!!!!:mad:
What will get rid of it!! Anything to get it out of clothes too!!:rolleyes:

    OK, this is going to sound wierd...
    • Buy some cheap hair spray
    • spray onto the stain
    • leave a couple of seconds
    • wipe off with a cloth, this should take off the ink
    • clean the area the hairspray has been
    • let it dry! Don't use the drier for a couple of hours!
    As a warning as well, I don't think think that spraying hairspray in a confined area is a good idea so make sure its very well ventilated

    (This tip worked for me when a biro pen bust on top of a melamine bookcase and no normal cleaner would touch it)

    I've always used hairspray

    With the machine, might be able to get some advice on www.washerhelp.co.uk using hairspray on the drum might help but I wouldn't want to offer any advice that would damage your machine.

    Oh and value hairspray is all I use, it's only about 40p
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:

  • Thanks all, used hairspray then rinsed off and stuck a damp towel in the get rid of the smell, phew!! panic over!

    nail varnish remover is good for this too

    i rememeber once . i put tumby on. as it was going round heard a noise. looke din a saw a blue peg. anyway when everything came out , it was all covered in blue wax crayon.

    so i put it all machine on a boil wash. it came out. and as for the tumbly. i put a towel in their on hot for about 2 hours. ok so what it cost me in electirc i could of prob bought a new tumbly, lol. but it worked.
