A friend of mine has had a parking charge this morning for £70 or £40 if paid within 14 days, they are looking for the driver of the car. My friend is adamant that they paid for parking on that day, they park in the same car park everyday. What should they do? Any ideas.. Ignore?

FYI we have the parking receipt, the pcn states in at 8.05am and out at 5.21 pics of number plate supplied. The parking receipt says paid at 8.07 to 5.07 so obviously charged for the late exit, due to being hemmed in.. so gonna advise to ignore..

NI-specific advice is to ignore the original ticket and the debt collector letters that follow. There is no automatic keeper liability in NI or Scotland.

More details are in the Newbies Sticky in the Parking Tickets Forum.
