Dorset Cereals Granola

Hi all,
I have got a taste for Dorset Cereals Simply Oat Granola recently. The taste is spot on, but i am absolutely loathe to pay £3 for 550g when Mornflake et al do 1kg for £2.

I don't want to go splashing the cash willy nilly only to find I don't like the others as much. Can anyone recommend any cheaper 'taste-a-like' alternatives for simply oat Dorset Cereals granola? one where I can stomach the price as much as the cereal?

Thanks in advance.

How do you feel about £2 for 550g (the current price at Sainsbury's)?
  • the Aldi specially for you is very nice. In boxes very similar to Dorset. Think it is £1.79. 2 sorts nutty and berry
  • Thanks Alanq, I have picked up a few of those boxes in the last few days as my "supply" while i find a replacement, but the offer won't last.

Lanzarote, I'll definitely give that a go - sounds quite good!

under 30p a day for breakfast cereal isn't too bad, if you really like it why not just get what you really like.

You can do the Dorset Cereal quizzes to collect points. Set up an account on their website, do the spin to win prizes and/or points, then every few days you'll have enough points to print off £1 vouchers.

My biggest problem is if you use a tablet these are not compatible with their website to claim the money off vouchers.

I love their cereals and it's worth spending a little more for something you enjoy.

    Hmmm.

In our local Fultons shop (think it's a bit like Heron, freezer stuff, some short-life jars, cans etc) they're selling Dorset Cereals Honey porridge sachets - I think it might be 10 for £1.

I usually have Oat So Simple so I might give this a go.

If you like the "honey" one with the nuts in then I can strongly recommend the Tesco finest version which is £1.95 a box I think. Aldi do a version as well which is about 10p cheaper than that, I think.

As someone else said above you can get the £1 off vouchers through the website but beware that technically these are only valid on the "deluxe" versions of the cereals, not the standard (and slightly cheaper) ones.

  • We have a Fultons near us that has a few different boxes of Dorset Cereals in. We got a box of the Berry granola for £1.50
Tempted to go back and stock up to be honest :)
