No output from Solar Panels?

  • The best place to start to look is in the menu of the inverter which will have error codes in the logs.

Download a manual for your model (listed on the label on the side of the inverter) and this will tell you how to do this.

or call the manufacturer help/support line if your installer is no longer around.

If your installer is no longer around then your independent warranty insurance will provide a warranty with another installer - try MCS, or IWA as your 1st 2 points of call.

Usually it will be your string inverter, but if you had a "too good to be true" purchase price then it can be a defective DC junction box on one panel which breaks the series connected chain of solar panels and means no DC electricity gets to the inverter.

A update on problem .The error code was 509 on inverter meaning No energy fed into grid in last 24 hours
Also error code 457 meaning Grid relay stuck
Engineer came out to look and got in contact with Inverter support .They are going to go through a few things including software updates see if they can clear it .The inverter should still be under warranty , but now i will have to wait to see what happens. But thanks for the input on the thread about problem it was much appreciated.
