    You can make full and final settlement offers on your own debts though. If they’re accepted your husband would be the only person needing to pay the DMP.

    Has your mortgage lender said they would also need your husband's debts satisfied before they'll put the mortgage in your sole name? I'm not sure why they would need the entire DMP paid off if they're only assessing your affordability.

  • In order for us to split the debt we need to be living in seperate accommodation. He hasn't moved out yet. So w can't split the dmp. Which needs to be settled before I can take on the mortgage
