Apprentice struggling in Mortgage admin, learning advice?

EDIT: ********** Thank you to everyone who commented, within the last 2 months I feel my understanding has clicked and I have found ways which makes studying and finding my own learning resources easier. ************
Hi! Long post (sorry) I have underlined my questions for you though. I just provided a little background.
I'm looking for some advice. I'm 17 and am completing an apprenticeship (NVQ level 2 business qualification) whilst working in mortgage administration.
Although I have come a long way I still have so much more to learn! My boss is encouraging me to complete an additional qualification in level 3 financial administration and planning (CeFAP). It's a great opportunity and I want to do it. My boss has previously set me at home tasks to learn all the ins and out of the industry and processes such as the solicitor process ect..
Although I have not started the CeFAP yet, I still have learning to complete at home from my boss. All about the regulations - FCA, PRA, FSMA.
My question is, I am struggling to find quality learning materials which I can study from. I want the information to be simple so that I can understand it, yet I want it to be in-depth. Does anyone have any good websites or books which I can buy? Even just any tips in general for this industry since I hope to continue this line of work once my year is up with the apprenticeship.
Also, I am very poor with maths. I always have been so I am shocked that I ended up in this apprenticeship in the financial industry (although I do enjoy it!). How do you remember all of the equations for example, working out LTV in multiple different ways, stress tests ect...?
My boss wants to train me to have knowledge on how to do all the broker things (RWL ect..) so that when I get another job it'll be a breeze. Hopefully.:j
Thank you!

Are you getting any specific training, for instance a day a week at college? It looks like it would be normal (even if not compulsory) for your employer to allow you paid time for training, and that's when I would expect you to have contact with people who would be able to advise you on the sort of questions you have.0

Thanks for your response! I am at work 4 days a week so I am learning on the job. I also have one day a week where i'm at home and I'm doing my NVQ business work set by my apprenticeship company. The NVQ however is not linked directly to mortgage admin, it's mostly for reception work.
It's on the one day a week where I also complete the work my boss sets me to learn about the industry. I like that fact that I am learning more, however since I'm not going to college I am struggling with finding resources. The online material which I'm finding from a Google search is hard for me to decipher sometimes.0 -
cant offer assistance on the materials, but maybe on the maths side.
at school, I was very poor at the Mechanics/Applied maths, but brilliant at pure maths and statistics. I just couldn't seem to get my head round the mechanics and how the formulae interacted with other formulae. for my revision before exams, I made out flash cards of the important formulae and would do examples with them in front of me. The more examples I did, the less I needed to rely on the flash cards. it will come to you in time, with practice, and will become second nature.
I also found that I wasn't so great at learning the theory - I needed to work out real world, practical examples before it made sense. as soon as I could relate it to a real problem, then it all became clear in my head.
so keep going with practice!Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190
