Sky TV - switching for better deal and cash back

We have Sky TV, the full package for £45 a month. It's in my name but from OH's bank account (changed a long time after initial join up from my account at times of my money troubles!) I could live without it but he pays for it and watches it mostly.... Plus he can afford it, so who am i to complain!
The thing is I want to cancel it, book it under his name get the same package but cheaper for new customers tarrif, get broadband for £5 extra (currently seperate Orange on £17.99 which he also pays) and also get £110 cashback from Quidco!!!!!
He worries that if he does this
A) we will somehow get "found out"
never get cashback
C) Broadband won't work...
D) God forbid, we might be without Sky for a couple of days!!!!
E) does the Quidco account have to be in his name, do you think? Cause if so, i'd have to set him up for that - no biggie though and for £110 i think i could be *rsed! Bless him, he doesn't even have an email address, just uses mine from time to time when required!
F) plus another thing i think would happen, is we would have the old Sky Box which we could hook up to the bedroom telly and get Freesat upstairs!! Am i right?
Edit- G) we would get a new digibox which is covered for faults, the current one is outwith it's warranty or whatever, and we opted not to insure. £45 a month is more than enough.

Just be careful that Sky don't twig because it'll be at the same address... same bank details. no installation required etc etc.. they'll probably decline the cashback at best...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
Que sera, sera.

this was what he said, but i can't see how they would make comparisons with a customer leaving cancelling their subs and the bank details of the new customer.... but yeah those kinda things are his concerns....
Wouldn't be so bad if i could convince him to go a month without it... but no way on earth that would ever happen!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Another option is to forgo the quidco and take advantage of the new refer a friend offer in which you will get the sky+ box free and free installation. Like the quidco deal, you do need to be a new customer.
I have the code if you need it, just PM me.0 -
sky do have software in their systems that check for multiple accounts even cancelled ones at the same addresses and bank details
how often they check well i dunno0 -
I rang sky last week to cancel and they actually offered me sky plus for £49 no upping of my contract and threw in some good deals, I was going to do what you are suggesting but glad I didn't I was worried about it, I feel better negotiating a better deal at a good price now. Also cashback is only possibly payable its not a definate so never something I count on its a bonus money.0

 We rang up and told them we wanted to cancel cos we were going to take up one of Virgin Media's introductory packages - and the offered us a Sky equivalent so's not to lose us.

Worth a try honey?
