    Ask the lender?

It's probably the lender who wants that information, probably because they no longer have records.

"Jayne Brookes" can spend £10 on a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter to find out exactly what is left on file.

It would be useful to know the reason why it is needed. If its MPPI then most MPPI is standalone and not built into the mortgage. So, the account number is not normally needed. Especially if a broker was used.

If its charges, then the account number would need to be known.
