Rolex insurance

Hi everybody,
I got a Rolex yesterday, cost me £4800. I still live at home with my Mum at the moment and we don't have any home insurance as we rent. Does anybody have any expensive watches they have insured and are they able to recommend a good place to get it insured?
Thanks,
Andrew

Get some home insurance and add it to that, it's most likely the cost effective way to insure it.
You can get specialist watch/jewellery insurance just for the item, similar to gadget insurance; but it's not the cheapest.
Google "watch insurance" and pick through the results.0 -
Just to add the insurance company will want proof that it is a real Rolex.0

Get home contents insurance and add this as a named item. My posh watch is covered this way in and out of the house."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0

Give the watch to me, I will ensure it is protected.... in a pawn shop"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

One thing I'd advise it to keep the watch and papers separate. Keep the papers somewhere 'hidden'.
Someone breaks into your home and steals both you're a bit screwed! (Hopefully this will never happen, though)0 -

Why would you be "screwed"?0 -
The fake ones come with papers also. The BBC Fake Britain show raided a place full of watches.
Boxed with paperwork and serials etc. They took it to a specialist who had to open the watch to know whether it was fake or not. They were that good.
Where did you purchase it from? Receipts and a papertrail.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
