Northern Rock will they still honor my new mortgage?

I currently have my house on the market and I have a NR mortgage and had a new mortgage agreed in principle with them. Im not sure now that they will still give me that new mortgage (which is approx. an extra 60k), with its current problems.
I cant swap lenders as NR were honoring my current rate at 4.75% and I have a £3,800 penalty, so Im a bit stuck.
I have got til the 12th Oct to apply for the mortgage as that is when the 3 months is up.
Does anyone know if they will still honor the new mortgage til 12th Oct and is it likely they will honor it after that date if I dont sell my house by then and need to re-apply?

if it was going to be honoured before the media frenzy started, it will still be honoured.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
