i have been watching MSE for a couple of years now though i am quite thrifty (well i thought i was)
i have just completed the budget planner and to my utter amazment i can save myself and family over £700 a month.:j i have loads of different insurances that are actually covered on my home insurance, we are down grading to 1 car which is feesable for us, not to mention better for the environment i am getting rid of separate digital and broadband packages and going for one with everything, i am getting rid of my mobile contract and going on PAYG as i only really use text messages and am paying £25 a month for them when i can get 300 everytime i put £10 on the phone and this will be plenty for me, the list goes on, i cant beleive it, i wished i had done it years ago. thank you MSE and everybody else on this site, if anyone has any other suggestions i would love to hear them. thank you:o

£700 is nowt to be sneezed at! That's brilliant! Well done. Now you just need to make sure the extra cash goes on debt and not expanding your lifestyle to fit the available money. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
