satten sheets

want to buy sone 400 thread sheets and have seen some in debenhams. but they are sateein ones. (yes i know i have spelt that wrong )/Are these slippery, will i end up on thr floor?
Quite pricy so dont want to make a mistake.

Cotton sateen (or cotton satin - although not quite the same thing) sheets are lovely. They are smooth and soft and good quality ones wash/iron well. Not to be confused with 'satin' - that really is slippy stuff!

I made that very very expensive mistake.

I personally dont like sateen cotton, I find it slippery and shiny and basically horrible.

I only buy egyptian cotton of 600 TC usually and I now always make sure its not sateen and only nice crisp cotton.

Be careful as there is sateen egyptian cotton which is what I bought by mistake.

Yeah, Overstock showed a perfect comparison for those. i thought about sateen too at first. now, i'm kinda at a loss. how can i tell sateen egyptian cotton? thanks.

Sateen will usually say Sateen on the description. Check reviews if not.
